You could try to find a morris side who already have a melodeon player as musician - they will usually be happy to help with learning the instrument. It's also a good way to practise tunes/technique by playing for morris practise - you get to play the tunes over and over again whilst the dancers learn/practise the dance and you don't have to worry about neighbours.
