What do we know about Kiel? Well in Erskine Childers, "Riddle if the Sands", the Dulcibella got a tow through the Kiel Canal by a tug. The Dulcebella (or rather the Aasgaard) is a Colin Archer boat built in Norway. Dulcebella/Aasgaard was used by Childers for gun running from Belgium to Howth. Childers was shot by firing squad on November 2nd.1922. The Dulcebella/Aasgaard is now in prison! Not really. The prison is in Dublin and has been turned into a museum. About Kiel? Not enough obviously. Chas
