Great response, bikes are great fun until you ride into things arent they, i smashed my lower left leg, i came off someone doing a sudden turn out of traffic and hit a car head on, i was a seriously lucky Bunny. it took 3 years and 27 operations, but i am walking ok now, i had to have an Ilizarov frame fitted for 19 months, try googling that word, you´ll see what i had. as you said, i owe it to my family never to get on one again, although exactly ten years after the accident almost to the hour, a friend of mine gave me the keys to his Harley and said take her for a ride. it was fantastic, but a real one off, wish you all the best slag, and hope you find a bit of that freedom you once had in something else.
