If I was forced to pick a date, we probably ceased being a tad giddy, or in the original spelling Tadd Giddith, in the early 1960s. Tadd Giddith was a small village in the Welsh valleys that was flooded when they dammed the valley. It was the summer of 1958 when the plans were first mooted, and the last family moved out by late 61. The community was scattered, and so was lost one of the last strongholds of Welsh discordant voice choirs, which had never been as widely spread as their better known and better tuned companions....
