The whole thing is very disheartening. We have loved listening to Mary Cliff and Traditions for many years. I never thought WETA would do something like this to our one folk music venue on local radio. Mary is so important to the folk music community. It's a real blow to see WETA save the voice of classical music on one hand, and the kill the folk music sound. I'm just hoping that WAMU, which I prefer anyway, will pick Mary up. We listened last night with so much love and nostalgia. It meant so much that her first song was Jonathan Eberhart's "Life's Trolley Ride." Thank you, Mary, and may you be back soon!!
