From scourging rebellion or A Song on the Victory obtained over the Rebels by His Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland • Genre: English song (T) • Completed score: 1746 • First performance: Sung by Thomas Lowe at Vauxhall Gardens, 15 May 1746 • Notes : Composed to celebrate the Duke of Cumberland's defeat of the Jacobite forces at Culloden on 16 April, 1746 The music was by Handel but I need the lyrics for research. Okay its not a folk song but it will be as soon as I finish it.
