A good operating system is one which allows you to do what YOU want to do.
The Commodore Amiga was BRILLIANT for that and in various things such as image manipulation could still knock spots off Microsoft despite being 20 years "out of date".

Microsoft is crap mainly because it constantly prevents you doing what YOU want to do. It will only let you do what IT says you want to do. It is based on the old "road directions" story where - You can't get there from here...

On a PC I use Corel for word processing because Word wil not allow me to format text as I wish or put it in a box where I want or other similar annoyances. It is all very well talking about Learning Curves, but that should be something which happens because you discover improved ways to get the same job done, NOT something which prevents you doing stuff.

Quack!
