Kim C. Folk used to wear a bra and a corset in the old days. Said corset then was not like todays, but was much more utilitarian and extended from thighs to above waist (without the bra bit) usualy made out of salmon pink cloth and with laces up the front!

As for parody someone sang it at Banbury this year (think you were there Snuffy)and it was the one about 'corsets all falling apart'and 'does the size of your chest wear two holes in your vest' etc I'd love all the words if anyone could post them here please!
