Fidjit, It's an unusual dance in that it's for six people, two triplets, each triplet being a man and two women. A quadrille is for 4 couples arranged in a square and is a much later dance for than this. The tune published by Playford is a jig. It has two parts, A and B. The A part is 4 bars repeated so 8 bars in total. The B part is 8 bars repeated so 16 bars in total.
