I have been trying to find the lyrics as written by Hugh S Roberton. There are so many versions out there! The two bits that get me is the lyric 'hill you ho boy', or 'heel yo ho boy'. 'Heel' kinda makes sense as its a sailing term where as 'hill' seems a little odd. Also wondering where the wives were waiting was it on the 'bank' or 'pier head'. Any clues would be great
