I would just like to add my vote for the Spinners. I came to folk just slightly too late for the Spinners to be my introduction - Fairport & Steeleye were in full flight by then - but having seen Hughie on many occasions in the last few years I wish I'd been around a bit earlier. He is a great singer and performer, who always seems to command attention and respect from his audience. His songs are thoroughly reasearched and he has a real love of music which comes shining through when you watch him. Always got time to talk to people as well.
