Here's one for any mechanics amongst you. I tried to start my wagon earlier, it was completely dead, no movement on the dash at all. I took the batteries out to charge them. The first battery checked in at 12.45 volts.OK. The second battery was 8.5 volts, so I connected the charger....the charger gave a loud click and then.... nothing. I rechecked the battery with a meter and found that the battery polarity had reversed, ie negative was now positive,etc. Can this happen? I've never heard of it before and more importantly, do I need a new battery or can it be 'fixed'. Perplexed.
