Used to catch them on trot-lines in west-central TX when I was a kid. Mostly on the Medina River. Pigs liver was the best bait. Strong aroma the fish could locate at night. We caught channel cats, yellow cats and mudcats. Mudcats tasted okay. Fry anything long enough and it'll taste...fried.
