Don't they teach hsitory any more? Religion was around from several thousand BC. Capitalism has been around for about the last 600-800 years at most and was only recognised as existing about 250 years ago, If they were referring specifically to Christianity, don't forget that the basis of capitalism, lending money at interest, was considered the sin of usury until the late middle ages- which is why moneylending became associated with Jews. | |||
