I got a concert-sized uke just before Christmas and I can't keep my hands off it. I can't play it yet either, but I'm working on it. Just can't seem to learn to strum it though - my fingers get caught in the strings... I was inspired by seeing Gerry O'Beirne at Innerleithen Music Festival last year. He made this wee thing sound like a harp and I fell in love. There are some mp3s on his site. Gerry O'Beirne I also bought a CD by Sam Brown Ukulele and Voice - 5 Songs. Not very folky, but I like some of the accompaniments. I want a teacher but don't seem to be able to find one in Edinburgh.
