More than some years ago. He played guitar for a while with Country Joe. I remember his wedding taking place in a Chinese Restaurant on Broadway in the upper west side of Manhattan. He was a big bear of a guy. I once worked at a luthier's shop where some good musicians hung out (B'way in the lower 20's), guys like Rob Hunter ... David came by often. He liked a 12-string conversion (from a Gibson J185) we were just finishing. And walked out with it! He did a gig downtown and returned it the next day. But it did cause a major (explictive delited) storm.
