I'd never heard of him until around 1990 when I purchased an anthology tape that included "There But For Fortune". Up to then, I'd simply assumed that Dylan was the only significant protest singer/songwriter of the 60s.

The folk duo Magpie (Greg Artzner and Terry Leonino) invariably include at least one Ochs song in their concerts.
