Note to WYSIWYG (06 Mar 07 - 02:24 PM): You're right that the UK is considerably smaller than the USA, but it's not as small as you think it is. The land area of the UK (93,788 square miles) makes it larger than all but 9 US states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Wyoming (which is just slightly larger at 97,105 square miles).
