Wordsmith BS: Haliburton Moving (22) RE: BS: Haliburton Moving 15 Mar 07

Thanks for the correction, Q. Loved your work in JB movies. I am not all that familiar with the workings of large corporations, mainly because I have a weak stomach. As I read the article from an Associated Press release, and, unfortunately, didn't copy it, I cannot quote...but I'm fairly certain they did say the corporate headquarters was moving there...perhaps there have been amendments since I posted this. I have seen Dubai on one of the travel programs on PBS and am familiar with its rich history, as well as its freedom from pesky terrorists. It makes perfect sense for Haliburton, btw, to divest itself of KBR now that the spotlights are shining on it. Once the guano hits the fan, they'll have no liability, will they?
As I was reading the comments to this thread, I came across Harry Waxman's name, and it reminded of an interview I saw of him on Charlie Rose's program. Boy, do I wish I had taped that one. Waxman brought up the CASH that was delivered to Iraq and then went missing and was also paid to people without verification of their use of it or if they even deserved to get it. We're talking a big chunk of CASH, here. Naturally, the guy who was in charge at the time who asked for the CASH is now retired and probably will get the Medal of Honor. Yes, I'm being sarcastic. I just can't believe all of this has been swept under the carpet, and even when the carpet gets lifted...oh, well. And, no, I can't remember how much CASH they mentioned...I was in shock! I still am, and now I have PTS! (My apologies to those who have PTS.)
