just watched Fox news. Apparantly the British marines and sailors were cowards who surrendered when they should have allowed themselves to be killed pointlessly. The british warship should have blasted the iranians out of the water and precipitated a major international crisis. The Brits "confessed" (they didn't, they chose their words carefully) etc. the whole newscast was about british cowardice and American bravery. Now, the brits are safe at home. No one died. The international situation is not at boiling point. No retaliatory action was take in which civilians including children would have undoubtedly died. So which world would you rather be living in? The British one of quiet common sense and diplomacy, or the American one of gung ho?
