I owe you an apology "Giok"; you seem an honest unbiased guy. But how can a one prove that one has been discriminated against. Discrimination is always subtle and could be easily argued away as a person not being suitable for a job for one reason or another. The best way to prove that it happens is to look at the religious make-up of a company's employees, much the same way as one does with race and gender, and see if there is a large discepancy in unskilled jobs. Two firms in the Glasgow area stand out among the rest: one is a brewery and the other is a chemical plant. It is common knowledge amongst protestants and catholics in the pubs and clubs of this area who they are.

Also, you're right, I should not have brought the football thing into a serious discussion about religious discrimination. For this I also apologise: these guys were fired up on cheap alcohol and had been at it all day. They are not representative of Scots protestants - many of my friends and relatives are protestant and Rangers' supporters.

I too tend to be bigoted at times as you know!
