If he was Irish, or English for that matter ,would he have made it as big as he did ?
I think not , as a songwriter , yes , he would have written some great Christy Moore type songs.
As a singer , no , he is not up to scratch , I suggest if he was born in Ireland or England he would probably be doing the rounds as just another folk/ballad singer in the pubs and being paid 180 euro for his troubles .
