I have been to the previous two but won't be going this year. No problems with the lineups. Wide range of real ale all at £2.50 a pint so the turnaround in the bar was quick. Good range of food on site and very relaxed atmosphere. Easy pedestrian access to the city centre for shops, food and the market. However, the acoustics in the main hall are not great and as the outside stages are close together there is some crossover of noise. Our main complaint though was with the camping. The camping field was too crowded on the second year (they had removed the camping on the main site to get more stages/stalls in). Space was so limited that there was a lot of tension over who was taking up too much space. If they sell more tickets this year then it will be too much. Also, because the campsite is in the grounds of a school, the access arrangements are poor and chaotic if you arrive during the afternoon. You cannot get vehicles onto the site so at that time have to stop on yellow lines (with the police and wardens hovering), carry all your kit in (not easy if you are on your own) then park about 10 minutes walk away. Did anyone else feel the same way? Have they taken steps to improve things this year or will it be worse?
