Thanks to Lucy, Kevin and all at the Bude folk club for a lovely warm welcome to myself as the scout for the Shiny Bum Singers, and for a chance to hear you as well as sing myself. The room has to be one of the most beautiful folk venues, with acoustics (and host) to match. I'm sorry I missed the earlier rounds of music, but after driving from Bristol the scenic way I had to eat first!

The people at The Tree in Stratton were also most helpful and friendly in showing me around - I left a book and CD with them for Lucy which I had forgotten to pass on at Bude. I even caught the tail-end of the departing Sealed Knot guests, and have been explaining to my Aussie friends that I just missed a Civil War battle and the chance to test my memory for period songs.
