Play as many as you can and if that fails to produce the sort of sound & feel you want then, like me, have a go at making your own banjo. I currently have a collection? of about 20 which range from an early Grimshaw to a modern Gold Tone long neck and most stages in between. My favourite is the one I made from its & pieces. Takes a bit of trial & error but well worth it Good hunting
