Suffered bad pain in right arm from shoulder to hand a few times over the past few years, usually after prolonged swimming (breaststroke) in the sea. Thought it was the result of old sports injuries, but the doc said it was probably arthritis in the neck. Tried many things, including frequent visits to physiotherapist, but nothing helped much, and exercise made it worse. On each occasion it faded away after 2-3 months. A friend told me last week that swimming breaststroke can be bad for you. I'm not going sea-swimming this year!
