GUEST,282RA BS: SHOCKER: Dems Fold to Bush (123* d) RE: BS: SHOCKER: Dems Fold to Bush 24 May 07

$120 billion thru September is more hoodwink. That's enough for an entire year. That money will go way beyond September. Remember when Bush turned down a more reduced offer earlier that I think Murtha proposed. Because then he WOULD have to ask for more by September and he has no such intention. That's why Bush and the GOP are making so much noise about September because it is going to be anticlimactic. When September gets here, there won't be this big standoff between the White House and Congress because Bush will still have plenty of money to carry him well into 2008 at which point he will simply cease to care and will simply stall until his term ends and he's cutting the ribbon at his new library while grinning vacuously for the cameras.

So by September, Bush and the GOP are banking on the people forgetting that that was suppposed to be the watershed month--the do or die date. How many of these have we seen? And we're still in Iraq and there is still no end in sight and Bush is still getting his ass kissed when he should be a lame duck to go with his lame brain and an impeachment rap. But I think the dem Congress is more lame-brained than Bush and more ass-kissing than Tony Blair. And if they allow Bush to leave without any charges brought against him then there are even more criminal than he is.

Accept it. The Dems want this war--they want their shot at reforming the Middle East. They want to continue Bush's legacy but hope to make it their own. They've actually sentenced themselves to inherit this war. It's unspeakable.
