"Harry Boardmans club had some outrageously bad turns! They weren't all good." Residents (1980-85 ish): Harry & Lesley Boardman, Joe Kerins, Steve Mayne, Bob Morton, Mary Humphries, Mark Dowding, me. Regular performers: Tony Hill, Paul Connor, Steve Woolley, Mick Barkis, Margaret Peters, Chris Cole (sorry for any I forgot). Occasional visitors: Terry Whelan, Donal Maguire, The Village Band, Gorton Tank, Steve the Australian, Gerry Murphy ..... I'm not saying there was never an 'outrageously bad turn', Peter, but most nights were pretty damn solid as far as my memory serves. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone every week! But your point about Granny and Grandad is well made.
