Sorry about the double post. When Gibson redesigned the Les Paul single cutaway to a double cutaway in 1961 they did so without the permission of Les Paul and he refused to endorse it or allow his name to be attached. The dispute was resolved by Gibson removing his name and calling it an SG model. The true Les Paul is a single cutaway and the body style has been unchanged since the early 1950's.
