I like the song, although it's mainly through familiarity, because I've known it since I was little. It's only recently that I started playing it again, and I do it C-G-Am-Am-F-C-F-G etc. I don't think I've ever heard anyone else sing it, so I'm going to check that youtube link out with some interest when I get home (youtube is blocked at work to prevent me from slacking off further).

I'd probably agree that it's not a "good" song, but "good" doesn't enter into the mix when you grew up with it. There are probably a lot of other suspect songs I like simply because I've heard them since preschool.
