You know when you have one of those days on Myspace when you find a Diamond amongst the Pebbles?

Well...here he is! :0)

IAN LANG

It's one of the many reasons why I so love Myspace. Suddenly you've found a whole new mind, a whole new talent..songs that connect with how you feel and make you sit on the edge of your chair listening.

With Ian I loved the first song I heard, then I pressed on the second, the third and the fourth..and each and every single one was of the same depth.

With 'Green Fingers' I found myself needing to write the lyrics down instantly, as it's such a very tender, beautifully written story song...You can literally see the people in that song, smell the scent of their garden, watch them whilst they think, work and dream in it....feel their love....

Here are those words:

'Green Fingers' by Ian Lang

"There's laughter in her eyes and a spring in the old man's step
As he says goodbye to those grey winter skies
Another one that he hasn't done for a year
Up at first light, whistling a tune as he knocks out his pipe
And she watches at the door
And wonders how she could ever want for more

She sits at the porch and thinks back to those distant days
When he told her that he carried a torch
She knew what he meant and so she stayed
And it took a little time
It was a treasure she wanted fine
It was well worth the wait
It's well hidden but its' never found too late

There's laughter in her eyes, it's still there after all they've seen
And it's funny how the times flies
One day you're leaving and next you've been
And she watches him still
Turning the soil under the April sky
And she feels a chill
One day soon it will be time

And she calls out his name
The kettle's on and there's rain on the way
And though he complains
There's nothing here that he would ever change"

Isn't that just beautiful!
