I remember that one of our ceilidh callers used to refer to his wife as his "first wife, not that we're divorced, it's just to keep her on her toes." He couldn't use it once they were divorced! At the end of a bad gig:- "Well I hope tonight has been an educational experiece. It's certainly taught us a lesson".
