Ruth, Folkiedave, Yes, I acknowledge that there have been far more deaths in the horse racing/eventing/hunting fraternities and I condemn them. I just wanted to emphasise that the horse's death this year at Applebly was not an isolated event. It happened in a very public place, witnessed by young kids and parents armed with digital cameras and, as such, received far more publicity than previous deaths and/or acts of cruelty.
