Now that the festival has been over for more than a week, I am responding. This was one of my favorite festivals ever and there have been 20 of them for me. The rain did not spoil anything as the indoor venues just resonated with sound. The Northneck Chantey Singers were incredible inside the oysyer shed late Saturday afternoon. Don Sineti was just great in a children's performance. What fun we had there! The hymn sing on Sunday morning was led by Jeff Warner's friend Barbara and turned out to be just lovely. I got a chance to meet and speak to Jeff Warner after all these years. He is just the classiest guy. There are always new people to meet and sing with. Of course the pub sings were like a worship service to our favorites. Bonnie Milner must be highly praised for the dignified yet entertaining memorial to Stan. Our new festival director Joanie started with a bang. What an unforgettable weekend...See you all next year if that is the ultimate plan for us.
