Jaxon | Song of the Great Famine (10) | RE: Song of the Great Famine | 06 Feb 98 |
Robbie O'Connell recorded it with Mick Moloney and Jimmy Keane on Green Fields of America. Peter Jones found a stack of letters in a family attic. They were all from family back in Ireland. They dated back to about 1850 or so. The song is a thread from one decade to another written by a father to a son in America. A powerful song. |
