GUEST,282RA BS: Ann Coulter back in the news (214* d) RE: BS: Ann Coulter back in the news 28 Jun 07

>>And all I'm saying is that though the first two (the faggot and dead son statements/issues) are deplorable -- categorizing the third (wishing he'd be killed) with the other two shows the ignorance of her critics, not her vile mouth.<<

That's where you're wrong.

Coulter has a history of foulness, Maher does not. Maher can therefore get away with a remark that doesn't really bother anyone because nobody these days can stand Cheney and realize the world would be better off without him fucking everything up that he touches. But Coulter has a history. So she brings it on herself.

The only one displaying ignorance here is you. There is no defense of ANYTHING Coulter says and it doesn't matter a wit why she said it. She has no points to score because long ago wore out her welcome.

The only reason the GOP keeps her around is that she shitties up the political arena so stinkingly that decent human beings no longer want to go to the polls. So the only ones that go are the indecent ones who just happen to be far right Republican kooks. And hence, they get to determine this country's future and policy.

If the GOP had a thing to lose by stooping to this, believe me, Coulter would be gone like yesterday's used toilet paper. But they actually gain. It's the American people who lose when they decide politics is too disgusting for them to participate in the voting process.
