There's the Billy Bragg song "I Dreamed I Saw Phil Ochs" (patterned after Earl Robinson's "I Dreamed I Saw Joe Hill"), not to mention the one Tom Paxton wrote shortly after learning of Ochs' death. An interesting thing to find out would be which folk artist is mentioned or alluded to in the most songs written by others. Perhaps it's Woody Guthrie - "Song To Woody" (Bob Dylan), "Bound For Glory" (Phil Ochs), "Boy From Oklahoma" (Willis Alan Ramsey) and "Christmas In Washington" (Steve Earle) come to mind, but I'm sure there are many others.
