greg - I think that growing tomatoes in pure compost might produce an abundance of leaves. You might need to heavily pinch the suckers. Wait another month or so and pinch back anything and everything without fruit. Leave a few leaves at the top to shelter the fruit from rain and scorching sun. Everyone has a different way but that's my advice. If you try a different method with each plant, you will soon find what works best for you.
