I enjoyed reading this thread. I looked up the song because I just saw the wonderful movie Evening and it was sung in the movie. I always knew the first two lines and was curious about it being a longer song as she sang more than I knew. By the way, I have a favorite game I like to play. It takes a bottle of wine (optional) a few friends and a moonlit night. Everyone has to sing a line from a song with the word moon in it. The wine aids in the singing. At any rate, as people cannot think up a new song with the word moon in it, they are disqualified. I have been "collecting" moon songs for most of my adult life and while I cannot hold a tune in a bucket, I know quite a lot of songs with the word moon in them. Jo jo_cannon@yahoo.com
