The Pot House Folk Club opened its doors on 26th January 2007 on the picturesque Headland in Hartlepool. It is organised and run by local folk group The Young'uns, who are a talented trio harmony group from the North East of England. Admission to the club is FREE and, although described as a 'folk' club, all types of music are welcome. From Blues to Country, Traditional Folk to rap, the Pot House Folk Club encompasses an eclectic range of music and traditions from around the world, which is one of the reasons it is so popular. However, music is not the only form of entertainment that is encouraged. A great part of the folk tradition is the fantastic stories, comedy and history found in books, poetry and prose. If you would like to read a poem or tell a story, please feel free to do so! Participation in the singaround nights is encouraged but is not a pre-requisite. So whether you want to just listen, shake a leg or be involved, come to the Pot House for a night of fantastic music and banter. The club is run fortnightly, on a friday. Refer to www.theyounguns.co.uk/pothousefolk.htm for diary dates. Everyone is welcome so we hope to see you there!!! Best, The Young'uns www.theyounguns.co.uk
