Market Raisen Folk Club
(ok Faldingworth live you awkward name changing bloke)

Market Raisen folk club
Is were we have our fun
We go there every fortnight
When all our work is done
Friday night in Faldingworth
The place you must be seen
Yellow belly music
In Lincolnshire so green

There'll be
Geoff and Mo and Deirdre
Mike and Paul and Sue
Martin, John and Les and Jane
Both the Caters too.
They all get quite intoxified
Dance and sing and play
Raise the roof at Faldingworth
To chase the blues away
(Refrain)

They like to have a bevy
A beer, a drink, a brew
There's lager wine and real ale
Gin and Tonic too
Schnapps tequila vodka
They drink them on the belt
The police cant breathalyze them
'Cos the Breathalyzer melts

There'll be
Helen, Neil and Sharon
Marshall, Di and Anne
Me, of course, but I abstain
Jen swigs from a can
They all get quite intoxified
Dance and sing and play
Raise the roof at Faldingworth
To chase the blues away
(Refrain)

(La la la la la la la Feelin' Folky.)
Of course it is a folk club
So maybe I should say
Les, he books some marvelous bands
To come along and play
But if you ask the regulars
I know what they would say
We're wasting precious drinking time
So lets get on and play!

There'll be
Steven, Dave and Angela
Ian, Jack and Don
Lots of ageing hippies
Who are drinking from a bong.
They all get quite intoxified
Dance and sing and play
Raise the roof at Faldingworth
To chase the blues away
(Refrain)

Throw away your mandolins
Pianos and guitars
Harmonica and whistles
Bodrhan and old Sitars
Accordions and shaky eggs
Recorders lutes and harps
Then have a competition
Who can down the quickest quart!

So come on down your sorrows drown.
And don't forget your beard
The audience will love your songs
And help you drink your beer
Your finger not the only thing
You'll get stuck in your ear
At Market Raisen folk club
For music fun and beer At Market Raisen folk club
For music fun and b
