I wish I could edit my post to "who wrote which" and "here" with only one "R". Fixed. -Joe Offer- I am always happy when this subject comes up, as it shows people are still interested, But I mainly wanted to stress. All of my inside information on "Ding Dong Dollar" and the "Glesca" Eskimos comes courtesy of Jim McLean (and later Nigel Denver) - who were there. Concerning "the Eskimo Empire" - I have a video of the "Eskimo Republic Glasgow" - which may be the same - and as Jim states - no original "Eskimos" took part. It was written by Gordon McCullough, and featured the likes of Robin Hall and Jimmie MacGregor, Danny Kyle, Jimmy Ross, Adam McNaughtan, etc. And many of the original songs were performed. Josh MacRae and Morris Blythman are mentioned. I'd also like to add something Jim McLean said - to misquote - Jim and Nigel were not asked - yet it was known where they could be found...

Although it was through this video I was introduced to "Ding Dong Dollar" - stick with the originals. Cheers to Jim (as always).

Nick
(I'm sure there are many more mistakes in this post)
