Lepus Rex BS: Bridge Collapse over Mississippi River (81* d) RE: BS: Bridge Collapse over Mississippi River 06 Aug 07

Little Hawk: Pawlenty has been trying to weasel his way onto McCain's ticket for some time. Even if McCain's campaign wasn't in the toilet, I think the 35W thing should screw Pawlenty's chances of ever being anything more than the worst governor Minnesota has had in a quarter century. And, yes, I'm counting Ventura. :)

Also, his Lt. Governor, Carol Molnau, is really getting hammered right now, which won't help him, either. See, she's also the head of Mn/DOT, which was a contentious issue before the bridge collapsed. Bwahaha.

Jim Dixon: No mullet? No mullet?! C'mon. He may mow it back from time to time (usually when lots of people start saying "Hey, Pawlenty's got a mullet!"), but he often wears a sad little late-80s jock mullet. I think maybe he does it to make his neck look thicker and less vulture-like. Or maybe to draw attention away from his perpetually-in-mid-sneeze/orgasm face.

...

Anyways, I'm a little concerned that they're reportedly putting the construction of a new 35W bridge on "a fast track." Like, finished by the end of next year. Awarding contracts next month. I'm no engineer, but... isn't that a little fucking crazy?
