I recently re-connected with an Air Force buddy of the 735th AACS unit I served with in 1959-1960 at a remote desert facility [Site 5] in then what was known as [French] Morocco, Africa. During the course of our reminiscing, he asked if I remembered a song that seemed to play continually on the Club Jukebox. He said he had been looking for it all thru the years, and only knew the gist of the song...I remembered it well! - and sent him an mp3. ------------------------------------------- YOU TAKE THE TABLE AND I'LL TAKE THE CHAIRS Bob Gallion [1] So here we are [4] breakin' up our [1] home To go our sep'rate [4] ways all a-[1] lone You take your love you just wouldn't [4] share [5] You take the table and I’ll take the [1] chairs [1] Breakin' up a [4] home that was so [1] sweet Sortin' out the [4] things we wanta [1] keep A perfect way to start our life of [4] care [5] You take the table and I’ll take the [1] chairs [1] What a shame to [4] see such pretty [1] things Separated [4] like our wedding [1] rings From the basement to the attic [4] stairs [5] You take the table and I’ll take the [1] chairs [1] Life will be so [4] useless when you're [1] gone And all I’ll do is [4] sit and weep a-[1]lone With a heart that's too blue to [4] bear [5] You take the table and I’ll take the [1] chairs
