Bom Fest 25th August -

We had a whip-round, and are very proud to be sponsoring the 'Antiflow' Acoustic and Roots tent. Performers include Steph Shaw, who played at the Gilmore Roberts CD Launch at the Keel last year and Tom Attah, Blues supremeo, who you may well have seen at the Shaw if you have been recently. For those not in the know, BOM-fest (Barnsely Original Music) takes place on the 25th August at the Miner's Monument in Barnsley. The event is run entirely by hard-working volunteers and the majority of the bands are unsigned and local, playing original music.

They still need money if you are interseted in last minute sponsorship (check out the bomfest website link below)

Darley arts are also running an Open Mic Stage.

Entrance only £2.50 minimum donation.

Please show your support - it's taken a lot of hard work to get this off the ground -further details on www.bomfest.com . It was a cracking day out last year despite the rain, and would recommend it to everyone.

Also coming up - we have front room folk on 8th Sept ....details to follow, and the AGM will now happen in september, where we will discuss the possible club venue change and elect club officials. Nowt else planed yet, although I hope to be organising another OXJAM event in October in aid of Oxfam, let me know if you want to get involved.
