The Waterson family at the Beverley festival 2 or 3 years ago performing in the Minster, did they rattle the ancient fabric of that beautiful building that night. After a full-on version of 'The Good Old Way' I think the Dean had serious worries about losing his vaulted ceiling! Again at the Albert Hall earlier this year the massed family raised the roof again with all those wonderful songs and then when they sang Lal's 'Some Old Salty', well that was it for me [an old Hull exile],Kleenex everywhere!
