Portsmouth Polytechnic folk club upstairs at The Star in Lake Road, maybe 69 or 70?

I can only remember an odd guy in trousers that had obviously formerly been curtains, playing an accordion and singing Bitter Withy - and Jasper Carrot, who ran his hand up my leg - oh and Spud Murphy singing Farewell to the Monty, and I suspect he was guilty of The Wild Rover on numerous occassions.

I don't know if it was so bad I can't bring myself to recall it, or possibly good, but has faded into the mists of time.
