GUEST,Penny Black Alan Bell's new knee (20) RE: Alan Bell's new knee 25 Aug 07

after a run through this evening we ended up with a few changes - so here you are... for those going to Fylde please learn the chorus and if we get a "Request" we'll do it at The Euston (we might even if we don't) I'm sure Stan "the Man" and Ron Baxter will have a song or two up their sleeves for Alan..

In days gone by, when his legs were much younger
Alan would cycle the festival round
With his new knee replacement and WD40
A new lease of life "Young" Alan has found

It's around and around and around now goes Alan
No creaking and groaning his new knee's just fine
When his other knees done things will be so much better
No more going in Circles he'll walk a straight line

But just for the moment some transport is needed
A motorised wheelchair to get round the town
His Squeezebox at all times upon his lap sitting
To blow up the tyres, in case they go down

Chorus

Those holidays skiing must now take a rain check
The walking and climbing for the moment has ceased
But we know you Alan and with your dedication
It won't be so long before you're back on the piste

Chorus

So Best wishes Alan we'll see you at Fylde
We might take the (proverbial) but know how you feel
and please "young" Sir get your knees back in order
You'll need both of them when Her Highness says "Kneel"

It's around and around and around now goes Alan
No creaking and groaning his new knee's just fine
When his other knees done things will be so much better
No more going in Circles he'll walk a straight line
No more going in Circles he'll walk a straight line

CU at Fylde I'm the Bloke with Alan's "Stunt Double"
