Got to agree that I'm not as old as McGrath of Harlow, but as Les Barker wouls say 'Nobody's as old as Kevin McGrath'.
What I really meant to say is that walk up the hill containing more than several pints of Gods own Ale is daunting. Sort of three steps forward, one step sideways, one step back and another three steps forward.
It's a shame that no publican can see the benefit of having an all day session, but so be it. The Bedford and many other venues in Sidmouth have obviously got it wrong, but they get my vote, and for such I'll continue going there and not to Broadstairs. I do so wish I could support my local festival, but I just don't get the ambivolence.
