So how is it that in Canada and Australia you can get away with 'points' systems and in the United States we are expected to take everyone who wants to come in, whether legally or illegally? I'm not saying we do take them all, but the perception is that we are being somehow unfeeling and restrictive if we deny immigration and services, services, services to someone who wishes to come in no matter how they got here.
